“Many things come to me in my trips,”
“I see myself as a kind of anthropologist. I do field work, I collect things and take notes — and then the ideas start to come out.”
This art work impressed me, it’s really something that fits my taste. Beautiful combination of bit naive art painting combined with street/ urban expression but also symbolism, sculptures, objects. ..installation?! Kind of reflecting few levels of his spiritual journey.
Postmodern indeed 🙂
:made by José Bedia this installation is called “Figure Who Defines His Own Horizon Line” & is part of d the exhibition “Transcultural Pilgrim: Three Decades of Work at the Fowler Museum at UCLA
:what’s d story about u can hear very good directly from d author José Bedia. Great explanation btw:
:because I saw work from this artist for first time I just decide to make a little research so I could know about d signature that he leave in d arts nowadays, and damn right he is good. Here is small collection of art pieces shown from him in different galleries, places.. so it would be easier for me_and u to recognize d periodicals of his art work.

:He uses the dark beasts and figures that dominate the canvas or the space. The other elements I already mention in first part of d post.
The Things That Drag Me Along
:I pretty much like this intervention in public space, he definitely make change of d whole idea for d place, brings vibration in d environment that is tripped. maybe bit in a dark way, like from d other side, d one that we all want to skip it. ..but still, d print is not so strong as d metaphor itself, anyway esthetically transferred very powerful.
.u like this artist, have u read or seen something from him before? what do u think about d work of d major Caribbean jewel. .. u can leave ur comments below or on :d white b[l]og ::: #facebook page
