.mushroom lights

.they can be really good fun if they are in ur home. subtle, warm, magical almost as part of some fantasy. yes, we speak about design, shouldn’t be imaginative? 🙂

This LED mushroom lights from Yukio Takano, of The Great Mushrooming are amazing. I actually don’t have a lot of words do describe how I feel when I just see this lights, I want to design a room with typical environment for this mushrooms. I want them next to my bed, close to my TV, I want them everywhere, and in all colors. 🙂

Yukio has made wonderful natural architectural lighting that is common to d flora and d original form of d types of mushrooms that he is inspired by. This is maybe d coolest desk lights of all time I have ever seen, since I adore fairies, shroom stories, etc.. :3

Each light kit is complete with beautiful packaging, battery packs embedded in the base of the wood, and nifty retro on/off switches.

:shortly, in a lot of colors ..

.

.. I saw this in my stream yesterday but I was thinking is too commercial, to much fancy for my eyes, but today I saw it one more time and I read d story. I think is good piece of art..

This beautiful work is composed of more than 2,500 letters and characters from different languages from around the world. The colorful writing is illuminated from behind, and walking into this room is a bit like walking into an abstracted conversation in which you’re hearing bits and pieces of the entire planetary population talking at once.  This piece, by Noriko Shiozawa (塩澤徳子), is called “Koto-no-ha” (こと‐の‐は), which is an older Japanese word for “language.”  Shiozawa-san was kind enough to give her permission to allow the photograph above to be used as the cover for the UNESCO Jakarta Annual Report 2008.

.
.

:::hei, this could be you! :)

.

.
I was thinking that this project recognize ur aura color but even that is not like that, this light interactive installation is creating colors from d visitors but it combines them with d colors from d atmosphere in d space in that moment and it mix them even with d colors from d visitors before.

.
.

This project made by d artist ivan toth depeña [founder of airboat studio] is showing d audience part from d things that exist and we don’t see with regular eyes. Is this important for this contemporary era? I think yes! He gives Us d pleasure to enjoy d colors of our life, shows if there was good combination in d spirits from d current & d visitor from before, d environment change d temperature & d light so do this six large LED light boxes.

.

More clearly explained from designboom:

:infrared cameras capture visitor activity, abstracting the image and displaying it in real-time as a burst of colored pixels on nearby light panels, reflecting the user’s activity. the displays also alter in hue based on the time of day and the number of visitors present at any given moment.

the software driving the installation keeps a record of past user visits, adding a sense of dynamism even when the lobby is empty. in addition, several columns look outdoors onto a public plaza, engaging with activity outdoors and blurring the boundary lines of space.
