.while ago I mention this fireflies in one of my poem.s _we use to play with them when we were kids, sticking them on our foreheads we were trying to don’t get lost in d close forest, signalizing each other where is who. Nowadays d kids are only playin’ on computer and virtual games, I miss those times. ..even in d village where my grandparents use to live we had a lot of those fireflies.
What is interesting here are these few amazing, stunning shoots, master photography . .. natural beauty. We have this unique insects, small creatures, universes hidden inside our universe, macro world only on d top of my city..
The pics that we’ll see now are of Golden Fireflies in Japan! This series captures the fireflies in long exposure as they mate after thunderstorms.
Taken in various locations around Maniwa and Okayama Prefecture in Japan between 2008-2011 this brilliant series of photographs captures the wild frenzy of gold fireflies as they mate after thunderstorms during the June to July rainy season. Shot using a slow shutter speed, the neon green and yellow contrails seem almost digitally imposed on the scenic landscapes, but I assure you these are real. See them a bit larger here.
